Thanks to all volunteers and competitors who came to our first Rated show of the 2018 series! We appreciate your support and willingness to check out the new venue. Comments were very positive throughout the weekend and all in all it was a successful show. It was so great to be able to go in to the indoor when the rains came!
We can’t thank the volunteers enough, especially those who had to deal with the rain on Saturday. Donna Weinberg and Tiffany Silverman were our scribes for the weekend. Debbie Knowlton was our very capable announcer both days. Dominique Estrada, Chloe Krainoch , Jackie Real Salas, and Linda Hamilton were ring stewards. The outside set up crews included Glenn Leisure and his willing weekend visitors. The outside tear down was probably done in record breaking time since we had Dominique, Linda, Chloe, Debbie along with the resident all around CRC magician, Auggie, who also made sure our footing was worked as often as we asked. And we should not forget the endless hours the TEV-CDS directors donated to this show. Diana Muravez and Abby Kogler were the smiles that greeted you in the show and awards office, Elaine Hamilton capably and quickly had the scored calculated and posted, and Carol Tice zoomed around via the golf cart putting out fires and keeping everything going smoothly.
There were a few firsts for our chapter at this show. We had the pleasure to watch Marti Thurman and “Tap” ride her test to be awarded her Century Ride ribbon! We offered Prix Caprilli classes both days and were impressed with the rides.

Thank you all for the patience regarding our Rated Show decisions and changes. Its official: our Rated Show Series will consist of three CDS/WDAA/CWADA shows: March 10-11; June 2-3; and July 14-15. We will be holding the Series at CRC Ranch (aka Casner’s) 34520 De Portola Rd, Temecula CA. Its a big change and we will miss Galway but we think its the right decision for us at this time.
The Awards Luncheon was great. Good food, nice prizes, happy faces, proud parents, spouses, and friends. Let us know how you liked the luncheon format as opposed to an evening party. We aim to please and will be starting to plan next years Awards Party, so let us know your thoughts.
We are not, as a Chapter, providing the volunteers for the Galway Events this year. More volunteer opportunities coming though, stay tuned!

Award Event Update
We had to change the date of our Award party. Too many people couldn’t come, including me. So we changed it to Saturday January 13. You can start arriving at 11:45, we will eat at 12:30, have Awards at 1:30, and send you home to ride and do chores by 3:00. It will be at Roderigo’s in Temecula, and you will receive an E-vite in mid December.

Saturday September 30 Mary Debono Rider Clinic! You do not want to miss this. It will be held in the Fallbrook Community Center North Room, 341 Heald Lane, Fallbrook, 92028 12:30-3:30. Bring a yoga mat or a towel. TEV-CDS will provide water and light snacks. More information will be posted very shortly but save the date now. Save Another Date! Saturday November 4th we are holding the 2017 Award Banquet! It will be held at Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill 36562 Winchester Rd, Temecula from 3 to 6 pm. Evite, prices, and registration info will be coming soon!
GALWAY!! The International Event is November 2-5. As usual TEV-CDS will be supplying the volunteers for the Dressage phase. Usually the Fall event is Thursday afternoon and Friday, so start thinking now about how and when you can help! Volunteer hours go for 2018 so it is a very fun way to get your hours behind you for the 2018 show season. We will need scribes, runners, etc.

I am going to start posting members horse’s photos on the home page. If you want your horse to be the Face of TEV-CDS for short periods of time send me your photos and I will put them up! Also send me your news, of new horses, or big wins, or whatever, and I will update the Member News section frequently. We are also in the process of adding a paypal account to the web page and hope that that will enable you to pay entries, classifieds, and events with a click.
Thank you to Lynn and Chris Binkley for another great schooling show at their Black Dog Farm in Murrietta. Well attended, well run, well judged, and by all reports just a great day in every respect. We are so lucky to have them running this great series of schooling shows for our Chapter members and others. Thank you! Thank you to all of our volunteers and competitors who came and rode and worked at our Rated series. They were well attended, people enjoyed spending their TEV Bucks, and it was lovely seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. We are working on next years schedule and we hope to see you all for another show series.
The June Triple rated show was a success, thanks to all of you competitors and volunteers and Board members and show staff! The weather was perfect! I think it is safe to say that a good time was had by all.
Carol Tice and JRockingT Ranch, along with TEV-CDS is having a clinic with well known animal communicator Lydia Hiby. Many of our members have used her for years and her insights have proven invaluable. The flier and info link is under the Calendar link. It is June 25, and it’s my fault that this info is getting out so late and I apologize. It will be educational and social with snacks and a pot luck so come and see us. I hope to see many of you there!
We are also pinning down the date and location for the Mary Debono clinic and the Timmie Pollock clinic.

We are working on the web site and soon will have a classifieds section and other nice additions. We have a Member News section now that we will be posting updates on; send me your happenings! New horses, moves, what have you! It will be nice to know what is going on in our member’s lives.
